Although, I gots to give props to Gramp. I too feel that way when the UPS guy arrives.

Flaco is my favorite because he transcends stereotypes. He is, to the untrained ear, monosyllabic, and to the untrained eye, merely a lizard. But if one takes the time to get to know him, one marvels at his intelligence, courage, sense of humor, etc. etc.
Flaco is someone I could easily see myself hanging out with, talking politics and world events with, and getting through a back alley rumble with.

I like Gramp because I can relate, being in his age group. :)

I voted for Sheldon, it's his strip after all.

But I would have voted for Oso, if available.

I really hated to choose, I honestly like them all. When it came right down to it, I had to vote for gramp, I'm not quite his age group but garsh darnit I will be some day.

It was really hard to choose, I love all of the characters, but there's something about Flaco that just makes me smile and go "squee!" (the best word ever invented--in the opinion of me and my boyfriend)

Poor, poor Dante. He's a great character, but not used nearly enough. His understated responses to many of Sheldon's ideas have been some of the funniest moments in the series history. Also, who else would treat a 10-year-old billionaire best friend like any other kid?

Ha! What a ma-roon! You're right! I *did* forget to include poor Oso in the voting!

My apologies to all the Oso-lovers out there (...and there are more than a few of you, judging by the amount of pug-related e-mail that comes my way)!

Oh I love Flaco! I love his amazing adventures and his courage and the fact that he's so modest about his talents. Plus he's HI-larious!

Of course, you'd have to have Arthur there too, in order to communicate with him (can you take "Squee" as a correspondence course?). Though if I needed a charades partner, Flaco would be my number one pick!

Pugs need love!

I love Flaco, because he's a lizard, and I love all the others, but I voted for Sheldon, because he's the key to the whole thing. No Sheldon? - No talking duck with an encyclopedia in his brain. No Sheldon? - No rambunctious pug with nothing in his brain whatsoever.

Arthur is my favorite because of his attitude.

The rest I like equally for what they bring to the table and I can relate to each on any given day but I aspire to be the duck who takes the corporate card to Mexico!

I had to go with Dante on this one - he's more of the straight man in this strip than anyone else, as far as I can see. Gramps is pretty normal, but it's hard to beat Dante's ability to just say "I don't get it" at the right moment of a Sheldon geek-out and completely make the joke.

That's hard to say, it's in between Flaco and Aurthur, but I think I'll go with Aurthur cause of his body movements and stupidly funny things he says.

a favorite?? blasphemy! if i -have- to choose, it's arthur. Mostly because of the "ahh? ahhhh?" nudge-nudge look, as seen in 3rd and 4th panel of the 01/14/08 strip, which cracks me up everytime.

Man, Sheldon must be ticked... Though it really makes sense. We're all the star in our own lives, but it's always Arthur or Gramp that's the favorite...

I like Flaco because everything he says is brilliant. :D

What I think is funny is that when Flaco was introduced, I really didn't like him. I actively disliked him.

Now, Flaco just narrowly missed out on getting my vote. This time next year, I'll be shaving my head and chanting on his lawn.
