International Donuts Are For Eating Day

Dave seems like the kinda guy who would want to know that this weekend (Feb. 9th) is International Donuts Are For Eating Day, so I imagine that most Sheldonistas would like to know what it is. It's kind of obscure, but I've been celebrating ever since I heard of it several years ago. To celebrate with the world, all you have to do is eat any kind of donut on Feb. 9th. More inclusive still, non-donut eaters can enjoy a fully legitimate celebration by eating any donut-like food. For Americans, I'd suggest a bagel or danish. So happy International Donuts Are For Eating Day, everyone!

Better still, I happen to LOVE beignets and fritters. How about funnel cake or elephant ears? We (Americans) might all be eating choros soon! There are more selections available than just bagels and danishes, turnovers are yummy too, as are cream cheese kolaches (heaven). Oh I almost left out cinnamon rolls! Ye gods I know too many confections!!! Heck now I want a chocolate filled croissant!
