Wassa Whossa?

Monday, February 11, 2008 - 04:02 PM

Sheldonista Harriet noticed this on Alibris this weekend: A copy of Sheldon Book One, "Pure Ducky Goodness," going for some ridiculous sum.

Lord knows how or why it's listed for fifty-two smackers. I guess this is good news for all of you who have a copy: They're goin' up in value on the secondary market! :)

Hmm Decisions, Decisions. Do I buy it from here and pay $20 at most for it?

Or do I go to Albris and pay $52 dollars for it?

Hmm, This is a tough decision. Can you help me out here?

Doesn't even say if it's an artists edition. That would increase it's value a bit. I wouldn't buy it, since I already have one.

Yeah, I checked that too. I might be willing to pay a little more for an artist's edition of any of the collections, although certainly not $52. Not even desire to be accepted into the group of extra-cool people with all artist's editions would make me pay that much for one.

How about $85? Check out the list of 'avaible items' [alibris.com]...

I have Arthur sketched in mine; it should be worth hundreds! I wouldn't sell it for anything though.

I might sell mine for junk food. Or a pony.
But it'd have to be a really, really nice pony. We're talking Olympics here.

Ooooh, I might have just the pony for you. I've been dying to get my hands on an artists edition.

Of course, you'd have to change her name from "Rainbow Princess of the Valley", but she'd get use to it eventually.
