Well I guess that explains why you've been missing from Webcomics Weekly lately. Has your neck started hurting from constantly staring down at her yet? And your cheeks start hurting cause you can't stop smiling?

Now generally when I look at newborns they remind me of Elmer Fudd. But indeed your little one DOES look like Winston Churchill!
Congrats Dave on the addition to your fam. Your life will never be the same again.
"Uh... the baby. That one. The one over there - next to the beautiful mama and the hovering daddy with a pencil in his hand."
This anonymity thing is never gonna work... Newbie daddies are 6-year-olds after their first day of school - you're gonna want to talk about EVERYTHING.
Obviously, the solution here is that she needs a cool codename, like a superhero secret identify! Um... "Anonymo"? "Lil' Baby X"? "The Unidentified Cutie"?
Well anyways, congratulations on the birth of... whoever she happens to end up being!
Given your penchant for Spanish character names, why not give her a nickname here of Belleza? As proud parents you will be referring to her constantly, so a nickname would work fine here on the blog. The name is singularly appropriate to so cute a little girl.
As a father of two daughters, I tell you solemnly that they grow up way too fast. And also, as a father, you will have a very special relationship with them that mom will not have. Almost all girls are "daddy's girls". Enjoy it, as it will give her guidance as she grows and memories for you as you age and see her grow up. Take too many pictures, too, you'll not regret it, I guarantee that.
You'll never feel prouder, or sadder, than the day you give her away at the altar (if she chooses that path), but it is a good sadness.
Given her maternal genes, she'll likely live up to her nickname, too, and then you get to be the father who the boys must pass to date your daughter. This is a scary time for dad. Make them stand still, give the password and enter with their hands showing.
It is a wonderful thing to have, children. They are too expensive and a lot of trouble and sometimes disappoint you and sometimes defy you and get into mischief. But they are also the ultimate reward as well.
Enjoy this special time. It is over before you know it. As soon as you blink she'll be walking, then in school, then dating then to college.
Congrats and good luck. I think you'll be wonderful parents.
Congrats! She's a total cutie!
I'm so insanely happy for you guys, I've almost cried a few times. I know that sounds a little lame, but I'm a mush. I'm so thankful baby and mom are doing ok. You guys have all my love.
So.... what did Winston Churchill look like as a baby?
Very cute spawnage, dude.
I completely understand on keeping her name secret. But, how about a naming contest for her alias here in the forum?
Maybe some of that high-value original art as a prize?
Well, paint me red and call me a fireplug! Congrats on the wee tot!
Oh, and before Churchill, babies (at least, in England) were said to look like Queen Victoria. It pops up a lot in 20's and 30's lit. I kind of like that. :)
Congratulations. I totally respect the idea of giving the baby privacy but how 'bout letting us Sheldonistas create a stage name for her? So instead of "the baby" or "our daughter" she has a name to refer to, just not the real one.
Congrats Dave & Gloria! Beautiful baby daughter you have there.
AWWWWWWW!!!!!! She is SOOO CUTE!!!!
Completely understand keeping her name a secret... and happily await the children's book!
You have no idea how many nights you will not sleep. But it's totally worth it.
Congratulations! She is aborable.
I made up a strip as a sort'a congratulatory present. Enjoy and I wish you and Gloria the best with your new bundle of joy. :)

Most excellent! Very glad to hear of the new arrival and of the health of the family. Enjoy your break and we wait to enjoy hearing your upcoming book of babysongs:))
