Ah to have lived for the past 100 years to have seen the first airplane take fight. For man to have broken free from the ground and achieve what only the birds had been able to do up to that point. Then to see it thrive and improve.
Get bigger and more powerful until the mid twentieth century where they became big enough and powerful enough to carry passengers back and forth across the country. Up until then if you wanted to travel long distances, you had to take a train or boat across the country. Then It truly becomes a wonder of the world. Then it becomes commonplace and normal. Then it becomes average and boring. Then people begin panicking about the airplanes. Then it becomes tedious and annoying. Now with all the regulations, the bizarre check points, the seemingly random pricing of the tickets. It has become annoying and you start daydreaming about taking trains again. Maybe in another twenty years the airlines will have either gone under due to rising fuel costs or incompetence. Forcing us all to switch back to trains and boats for long trips. Ah, isn't progress wonderful?

By the way, this is that kid from 1903. She says that she is looking forward to Wii Sports.
