Hi and welcome!
So are you the person who has to drive down to the bait shop twice a week to get buckets of worms for Arthur? ;) Seriously though, I'm glad to hear Dave now has someone to work on the transcriptions. I hope that means the transcription system will get an overhaul. I think a bunch of folks including myself were willing to help with transcriptions, but the interface was a complete and utter pain in the last months.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your internship - I think many Sheldon fans will be quite envious! :)

Interning can be thankless. I suspect that won't be that case with Dave. However, you get out of an Internship what you put into it. Hard work and listening to your mentor now will serve you well later.

Hi Steph, as a person that just left an internship with a CRAZY woman (think "The Devil Wears Prada" combined with the actual Devil and you might be close), I offer you some timeless advice.

1. Enjoy yourself. If you can't have fun, you can't learn.
2. Make mistakes- and learn from them. I learned more from those than I ever did from her.
3. Use your mentor's knowledge and experience- but don't forget yourself! You are the wonderfully awesome newbie- and don't forget that!

You, of course, are much luckier than I was- your mentor is the picture of fabulousness. Have a good one- I can't wait to meet you through your own blogs! Have a great summer!

Just felt compelled to send warm greetings from England. We're all a big family here as I'm sure you know, with Dave being the... Mum? Not sure where I'm going with this... anyway, have a great time! I'm sure you will. Look forward to hearing a different point of view from the world of Dave.
I'd personally love to see some photos in the blog of the man at work, in his studio or enjoying an early morning cup-a-joe whilst staring out the window. Whatever it is that the real man gets up to!

Hello Sheldonistas/os and thank you so much for the wonderful welcome I've received. Yes my summer days already look pretty bright by having a fabulous internship and a SD trip planned which I am looking forward to. No I do not plan to gawk at the "super nerds" but instead to fully embrace them and my experience in SD and working with Sheldon comics. Hopefully a little blog will be up soon which I am very nervous about (so if it's horrible just smile and nod).
