I missed it! We had our 3,000th person sign up for e-mail delivery, yesterday. Neat!

There are three ways to read Sheldon: The website, RSS, or by e-mail. The number of folks who read by e-mail are by far the smallest group (RSS is growin' like wildfire) but watching that e-mail number grow brings an inordinate amount of joy to this cartoonist. It's very Pavlovian. :)

Do you have someone in your life who would enjoy gettin' Sheldon in their inbox? Tell them to sign up here...and convert a friend into a new Sheldonista!

Congrats! I'm an RSS subscriber but if it wasn't for RSS I'd definitely be signed up for the email version... is there any advantage of email vs RSS, aside from the method of delivery?

Congrats Dave! 3,000 is a lot. When are we going to hear about RSS feed... what is that, 10,000???

MAK THE YAK...
nice name. I don't think there is a difference between RSS and e-mail... just the delivery, e-mail you have to delete after a while... although I don't delete any more. RSS is just cool and convenient, but actually I prefer now, to go to Dave's website and get the update... you know?

Good work Dave. I enjoy Sheldon now... before I didn't, because of the first couple strips that I saw, didn't light my fire you know? But I gave you some time and now I really like Sheldon. Fun to follow and EVERYDAY there is a new one. COOL!!!

By the way, I love the old DR. Seuss reference of HOP ON POP... too funny! I would think the duck would be able to read something like Crime and Punishment...but HOP ON POP...too funny.

Congrats on 3,000, but it may go back to 2,999 because now I can't get "The Eye of the Tiger" song out of my head due to today's comic! :)

congrats on the 3000th email subscriber! I also read using RSS, but if there are advantages to receiving the email, I'll gladly switch.

also, re: today's strip, it looks like Flaco's the one singing Eye of the Tiger, since his mouth is open in all the panels with music. Does that mean he can sing (non-squee) words?

edhkim: No, he's just "coaching" in all those shots. Think of it as a movie montage, with a soundtrack playing in the background.

But... But.. but... Email delivery is the ONLY way to read Sheldon... But then I guess Sheldon is the only webcomic I read. Still... It's mighty convenient and makes reading my email fun. :)
