Happy 4th to you as well! But do they even celebrate Independence Day on the West Coast? Shouldn't it be the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo there? :-)

I thought the Left Coast was ashamed of American and refused to celebrate the 4th?
On a serious note, mercy to the firefighters and victims who are going to have a rather too hot 4th of July this year. I hear the Governator banned the sale of fireworks except for licensed shows as a fire safety measure. Californios have our sympathy. There, but for decent rainfall, go we.
