Does iMovie '08 have a way to change the duration, such that a section of video can run at 2x, 3x, or (any) increased speed? The old version of iMovie used to have that...but we're hard-pressed to find that functionality in the new version. After 2-3 hours of looking online through tutorials and FAQ, I thought I'd ask Sheldonistas.
Anyone have a suggestion?

"To specify a duration for each photo, we can mouse over a photo and click the little clock badge that appears in the lower left corner. From the sheet that appears we can choose a duration for this photo only, or change the duration of all the photos in the slideshow."
Or
Select the black frame under the title. Then choose 'Set Duration...' from the edit menu. The black frame and the title should change to the new duration.

From iMovie help:
To adjust the duration of a photo, still frame, or black video clip:
Let the pointer hover over the clip and click the Duration button (looks like a clock) that appears in its lower-left corner.
Type the number of seconds you want the clip to last.
If you want this to be the default duration for all such clips added to your project, select “Applies to all photos.â€Â
Click OK.
