I know I've already put up three things asking about avatars and I know I'm pathedic, but I still have no idea how to get those things to work. could someone explain it to me in a way that somone who dosn't know what a gimp is can understand?(and thanks to everyone whos tryed to tell pathedic me how to do this)

Well, it's usually more sensible to stick to one thread so you get all answers in one place while not cluttering up the whole forum :p

And you're confusing your "how to MAKE avatars" thread with your "how to USE avatars" thread, because Gimp is of no relevance whatsoever to you if you just want to use existing avatars.
