Airline adventures - 8/6 strip
posted Wednesday, August 06, 2008 - 02:00 PM (#44113)
I can't decide which is awesomer, Dave:
The fact that, in your punchline, you captured my exact thought from my recent flight back to San Diego after vacationing in Israel in July (I ended up sleeping through most of that epic film, reading through some of it, and catching a few scenes without audio, which I'm convinced made the movie way better),
or
that the stewardess, er... flight attendant isn't batting an eye over the fact that her passengers include a talking duck and a lizard.
Then again, I shouldn't be surprised by the latter; the airlines aren't in a position to question WHO uses a ticket these days, they just need to sell 'em.

Keep up the great work. Have fun at the book launch party this weekend!

The funniest part is the Skymall. Especially if you listen to the Webcomics podcasts. I was laughing out loud before I even read any of the dialogue.

Hehe, today's strip is great, too. The wig!! Let me guess - Flaco is posing as Michael Jackson? Impossible hairstyle and skin color issues?!

What can go wrong? Besides the fact that the rooms and phones of the athletes are tapped and that there have been secret microphones placed in Olympic area taxis and public venues, to include the restrooms at the Olympic venues?

George Orwell's Oceania has nothing on mainland China.

yeah, first it's a comic strip. Second of all, it's a lizard whose entire vocabulary consists of "Squee" and the other characters translating for it.

Chinese spy 1: What important news have you gathered from the duck and lizard on the American team?
Chinese spy 2: Let me check my notes here. Ah yes, Squee squee squee and squee. Oh yes, and somebody named Shakira is smoking hot.
Chinese spy 1: Quick, we must find this Shakira person at once!

Arthur is Dante in the new action thiller film The Talented Mister Ripley 2.
