Oooh! Ooooh! Dave, I nearly fell over backwards when I saw this panel, because I'd just last month read "The Invention of Hugo Cabret"
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Invention_of_Hug o_Cabret)
...which won the Caldecott this year.
As a illustrator and a fan of such, this is really a book you should read. Quoting the wiki article, the author describes it as "not exactly a novel, not quite a picture book, not really a graphic novel, or a flip book or a movie, but a combination of all these things." And it's VERY true! This is the most /cinematic/ book I've ever read - and that's coming from one who's read top-of-the-line comic books/graphic novels for the past 20 years. A truly magical story, in which the tale of the train crash, and that exact photograph, feature.
