I Just Love That It's Called The "Mongolian Death Worm"

This is the kind of ridiculous pseudo-story that's fun to link to...if for no other reason than to talk about good name-construction. Specifically, what I'll call the
Cryptozoological Name-Construction System.
Basically, it breaks down like this: (Semi-Remote Nation or Region) + (Seemingly Harmless Animal) + (The Word "Fanged" or "Blood" or "Man-Killer" or "Deathmonger").
Feel free to try it at home:
- "The North-Bolivian Fanged Rabbit"
- "The Lithuanian Blood Parrot"
- "The Nova Scotian Deathmonger Goose"
- "The Welsh Hooked-Claw Badger"
...feel free to submit your own, below! But be forewarned: You'll be hard-pressed to beat "The Lithuanian Blood Parrot". I'm proud of that one.

You should be, especially because there are no parrots here in Lithuania - they would freeze their, ahem, backsides off. The ones kept as pets are probably praying for the central heating to be turned on in the near future... Not to say that I'm not doing the same.

The West-Highland Deathstalker Sheep.
Terror of the Scottish Highlands, these vicious beasts hunt in packs, or "herds" - many a lost hillwalker has met their end surrounded by red eyes gleaming through the mist, and hearing the Alpha Ram snarling behind them, as the herd moves in for the kill...

Speaking of the North-Bolivian Fanged Rabbit, I watched "Night of the Lepus" last night with some friends. If you're into horror movies about giant rabbits terrorizing a farming community you should check it out.
Does anyone else find the animal names funnier if it's for an otherwise harmless animal? I know I do. Thus, I present:
The North-American Razor Clawed Kitty-Cat!

I'm not so sure, but its possible (geographically speaking) that both
North-Bolivian Fanged Rabbit and
North-American Razor Clawed Kitty-Cat had migrated (desperately fleeing) to theses countries, 'cause they couldn't drink safely into amazonian rivers since the arrive o the
Amazonian HellBorn Golden Fish, from the depth of that evil waters, isn't it?

when the Lower Wharfedale nephritic moth goes on its holdiays to Amazonia it snaps the spines of Amazonian HellBorn Golden Fish with one finger then eats them deep fried in batter. With salt and vinegar. From newspaper. And leaves half of them just for spite. Amazonian HellBorn Golden Fish? Shmamazonian hellborn golden fish. The Lower Wharfedale nephritic moth breaks wind in its direction.

Actually the Lower Wharfedale nephritic moth breaks wind in every direction having no manners whatsoever, which is why it is rarely invited to dinner parties, and certainly never twice. Not even to apologise for the first time.

I knew I'd heard of the Lower Wharfedale nephritic moth somewhere; doublechecking my references, it turns out to be the preferred prey of the New Hebridean disemboweling gecko.

Now, this is REALLY weired!
I rarely take a look at this blog-thingy, but today I did. And laughed.
No 30 minutes later, I took, for the first time, a look into a book of monsters for the d20 Modern RPG. And guess what I stumbled upon?
