Absolutely classic!
I love the look of consternation on your little girl's face in the top photo. She's so big now! I bet those first few weeks of feeling inept and waking at the slightest peep from bub are but a distant memory.

So, just to take you through the decision-making on this, here's how it went down:
1.) We thought it would be cute if I was Luke, Glo was Leia, and I'd have a little "Yoda" riding on my back, ala "Empire Strikes Back".
2.) But, when we started to look at baby Star Wars costumes, the baby Princess Leia was just too cute.
3.) That, right there, is where our thinking went off track. Does Glo then become Amidala? But then who do I become, in that scenario? Boss Nass? Greedo? Some dude in the background at Jabba's palace? It just wasn't working.
4.) So, we settled on the ol' comedy "Rule of Threes", and all went as Leia.
Et, voila.
Absolutely classic!

OMG! my stomach hurts from laughter! bwa ha ha ha! supremely excellent, dave.
That is just too cute! Altho,I must say Leia is indeed in need of a shave (um. Gloria and baby ARE NOT the chosen ones to shave) When we have a little one I know my job will be to create a yoda outfit befitting one so cute. Altho, your daughter is absolutely adorable (and I wanna pinch her cheeks)

Dude! Don't do that again! Please! My stomach and sides hurt SO much right now.
This has got to be the best (and wackiest) halloween idea I have ever seen. One Leia is ordinary, but three put together? With a dude as one of them? That's just so awesomely funny that I believe you've raised the bar so high that you can't top it next year.
That's right Dave. I dare ya'!
Hope you had a great time yesterday. :-)
Hahahahahaaa, that's like the funniest Halloween costume I've ever seen :D. And I love the determined look on your daughter's face - she looks like she's about to blast a bunch of stormtroopers! The only way to top this would have been for you to wear that bikini thing Leia wore at Jabba's place ;).
in looks like she's trying to use the force in picture 3.
Well to be quite honest with you, if Glo would have gone as Amidala, I think you would have made a fricken AWESOME Vader.
And no one's ever seen THAT family as a whole, I believe. :)
Still. This is ingenious. And I love your little girl!
Yep, laughing out loud up in Canada too XD
The look of noble determination on that tiny face despite her parents' silliness in the last photo is priceless!
The smaller two Leias are absolutely adorable, but the large one rather leaves much to be desired. Talk about needing a waxing!
Youngster in the top photo looks like Leia when she was telling off Darth Vader on the consular ship. Either that or you were about to have to change her majesty's diaper. Either way, adorable.
Now, if we could have had mom dress up in the Princess Leia dancing for Jabba outfit, we'd have had a PICTURE. Although seeing the bearded Leia in that outfit would have scarred me for life.
Great costumes, anyway. You three are a handful and any party you attend is graced by your presence.
Haha, wow. Now I can't watch Star Wars the same way again. Luke kisses Leia, but then Leia turns out to be Dave. Oh boy....
1. No, No, No. Your doing it all wrong. Your all supposed to be different characters from Star Wars.
2. It's new New re release of Star Wars 4 where they sneak Leia off of the Death Star by having everybody dress up like Leia. Now, Darth Vader will never know which one of us is the real Princess Leia. Although the beard is a bit of a give away.
3. No. Now listen up one more time. For the plan to work Leia and her body double can't be seen at the same place and the same time or the guards might figure out that something is up and we have to start all over again.
Really, this just reminds me of the final showdown in The Three Amigos. Pretty much just as funny too, which is a feat.
Being the Halloween grinch I am, my wife called me up from the store and said "if I buy vampire teeth, will you wear them?" So that, and the funky vintage 70s Asian smoking jacket I got from the thrift store for $2.65 and that was about it for my costume.
My costume was much as my avatar here. Full sorcerer's getup complete with cape, top hat and cummerbund. Loaded it up with tricks and props, took my magic wand and magic cane and carpe festum (seized the party).
By the way, Dave, has Leia/mom ever been an actress as well as a writer? She has an incredibly expressive (as well as beautiful) face.
