It's quite possible you are winding us all up here, but on the chance you are not:
It's unlikely to be a Sheldon reference. It's just insurance company copy. It's Allstate referencing their competition's mascots. The lizard is Geico. The duck is Aflac. You have in fact been snookered. :)
If, in the next commercial, the Geico lizard drops the Cockney accent in favor of "squee", the jig will be up.
Aflac has a duck? Finally I get the joke about the guard duck's girlfriend in Pearls Before Swine. Thank you.
