Today's strip is AWESOME...have you started reading the book to your daughter? We have to read it to our son every night..and besides the room's color scheme, don't get me started on the rhyming of moon with moon and other things that are annoying! But he loves it so we will continue to read it!!

I can't help but be reminded of Jim Borgman and Jerry Scott's "Zits" strip that parodied Goodnight Moon. "Goodnight computer, goodnight screen, goodnight websites yet unseen..."

I have a two year old daughter that loves this book. My wife and I though... ugh.
Yes, it's a sweet story that gets the kiddo to sleep, therefore making it worth a million bucks, but I think you nailed it on the head about the perspective! And the mouse just wandering around the childs rooms?!
Anyway, awesome strip!

The thing that always bugs me about Goodnight Moon is the picture on the wall of the rabbit fishing for a rabbit. It's just wrong, on so many levels. But dang, if that book ain't magic for calming a kid down for bed.

Hey, Dave... why did you shy away from using the same retina-burning garish colors as the book? Your greens and reds are pretty muted by comparison.
Afraid of burning out the rods and cones of your faithful readers?
Anyway, great strip...

Strip is wonderful. Now try your hand on "LOVE YOU FOR ALWAYS", it always forces a tear.
