What happens when a cat owner captures his piano-playing cat on video, then composes an orchestral work around the cat?

My friends, the result is "Catcerto". You will believe a cat can play as well as Philip Glass.

(Sidenote: My favorite part is when the cat rolls her head into it. Awesomeness.)

Oh my. That is just sheer adorableness. But I wanted him to come out for another bow holding the cat :)

Probably would have scared her to death, though, so I can understand why not...

What makes this so delightful is that the music is really excellently composed and orchestrated, and the chamber group's performance is also top notch. Mindaugas Piecaitis displays a more secure mastery of his craft than Glass has to date, though he'll probably never achieve the renown or rewards. Such is the state of modern art music where so much is unlistenable and much of what is is unmemorable - a possible subject for Sheldon, Arthur, and Flaco to explore. Viz, "died a starving artist" cartoon.

Best Philip Glass joke ever:
Knock Knock.
Who's there?
Philip Glass.
Philip Glass who?
Knock knock.
Who's there?
Philip Glass.
Philip Glass who?
Knock knock.
Etc.
