What makes this so delightful is that the music is really excellently composed and orchestrated, and the chamber group's performance is also top notch. Mindaugas Piecaitis displays a more secure mastery of his craft than Glass has to date, though he'll probably never achieve the renown or rewards. Such is the state of modern art music where so much is unlistenable and much of what is is unmemorable - a possible subject for Sheldon, Arthur, and Flaco to explore.
