Ever since I started visiting this website on a daily (at least) basis, I've never been able to resist the temptation to click on that tantalising little reflective bouncy corner tab on the homepage, even though, of course, I figured out what lies beneath it the first time.

what was the inspiration behind "squee"?
Kinda sounds like "squeak"...? (a cute sound in & of itself, generally speaking) Akin to "weeeee"...? (small & expression o' glee / fun?) Similar to "squeamish"...? (being that he is a lizard, anyway?) Funny & cute idea, anyway ~ including the mysterious amazingness that Arthur is able to translate...!

I have said "squee" in a feminine exited way long before I started reading this comic. just to express my enthuasm or exitement over something awesome, in a funny way.

Like...the "The Old Republic" MMO Trailer. EPIC sqees were uttered.

Anyway, it's really just another example of Dave's mastery of giving written text such emotion and punch, you always know exactly how it would sound if said aloud.
