Yeah, since the dark blue was added I'd gotten used to it and liked it. Gave it an "otherworldly" effect.

I guess the blue has really grown on me as suiting the sci-fi strip, was disappointed to see it in b&w and didnt seem to suit the strip at all.
Hopefully its just cause Dave's at Baltimore Comicon and didnt have time to properly blue-ify it.

Here's another vote for The Blue. I came here just to inquire about it.
I always thought the blue color made the whole thing look like a part of a dream. I know that while I may be dreaming in color, the colors are never "really right" - so the strip always seemed like the leftover scene from a dream that I can just kinda remember from last night.
Maybe the implication is that pinching space makes you wake up and that the real action is about to commence now...
