Platform 9 3/4

Sheldon reader Rudi N. sent in this great pic from King's Cross railway station. I admire that the management folks behind the station had a strong enough sense of joy to make this happen.
The luggage cart disappearing into the wall is the coup de grace.

If we're lucky, they walled up JK in there.

Darn, somebody already snapped up the strip! This strip is me when I went to London this summer with a friend - the one thing I *really* wanted to see was platform 9 3/4! Because of renos it was moved to the space between platforms 10 and 11 :D

And there is a statue of Paddington Bear at Paddington Station. I like that the statue is nude as would have been easy to forget he didn't have his duffel coat when he arrived there from deepest Peru.

I love that Sheldon and Arthur are so excited that they started talking like Flaco.
(This was kind of like me the first time I went to London. I didn't care about Paddington, and it was way before J.K.Rowling, but I couldn't believe I was actually walking down Baker Street.)

The cart used not to be there, but people kept plowing into the wall trying to run through it and knocking themselves out.

And also: I live in Cardiff. Everything in town is a Doctor Who or Torchwood or Sarah Jane Adventures filming location. It's mind-warping in a good way!

I don't think that the cart is going to stop the more determined sugar-fuelled child from concussing themselves on that wall. Just an observation from having interacted with children. If anything, I think it would likely inspire them to try HARDER.

Awesome. I loved the rising excitement, culminating in a squee chorus, and Flaco's little arms vibrating madly. :)

The cabbie may have "the knowledge" but I think he went around that traffic circle the wrong way. In the UK they drive on the left so would go clockwise around roundabouts.

Technically you're spot on. We are supposed to go clockwise around roundabouts. HOWEVER... taxi drivers are renowned tossers and think they own the road, and I can easily see one going whatever way they like around a roundabout. I've actually seen some who drive straight over mini roundabouts.

Somehow I fail to see a problem with this.
