I'm enjoying the strip so far. It's interesting to see a sci-fi future with a [i]spanish-[/i]speaking hegemony. It makes sense, though. Spanish as a first language is just as strong as English, and it's widely spoken in countries with the most potential for rapid growth and improvement. When compared with the other big contender in most Sci-Fi, Mandarin, Spanish is much easier to learn and more computer-friendly, and is not limited geographically to a single region.
Of course, all of these considerations are irrelevant, and it's really that the guy with the drive spoke Spanish that makes all the difference, which is of course how history works. Otherwise, we'd all speak Esperanto, no?
