I've often argued for the removal of the fax machine from the modern business office. Thank you 1842 and your wonderful technology... Ugh.

Take out the space in the URL above (after machine)... I don't know why it insists on putting it there.
I printed out today's strip and hung it over various fax machines in the office. Also, may ironically fax it to our other offices. Just because.
I have sadly often said to myself "Waitaminutehere... you printed out a PDF and faxed it to me so I could scan it in to use in your ad...? REALLY?

Well, you have many options now. You can have a PC be your fax machine. You can have your fancy office printer/scanner be your fax machine. I certainly think you can do without a machine dedicated to the task these days.
I can think of a couple cases where a fax machine might still be the best machine for the job. Places that take orders by fax maybe don't have enough room for a PC and a printer, but they make tiny fax machines.
