Wait, wait, wait just a minute. Where exactly do these wonderful characters live? Where can you swim comfortably and discuss New Year's resolutions at the same time? O_O

In Tucson, there have been several days recently on which the weather would have easily accommodated a good swim. I'll trade with you if it means I get a real winter.

Oh, well, honestly... hm... I live in Texas and the central bit of it, too. So, no, I have no real winter either, but it's still too cold to swim. It's the worst of both worlds. We all have fond memories of the snow of '85, though.
