Star Wars Babies

One of the most fun things I've done, in recent weeks, has been to draw "Baby Admiral Ackbar". What a great, great character design Ackbar was. I could watch an entire movie with that dude.

Also! Just for fun, why not watch this.

Star Wars Babies already happened, in a way.

Surely I can't be the only one who remembers the adventures of Kermit Skyhopper, Gon Zolo and Fozwakka?

In Response to Hermetic (#55167):

Hate to say this, but: I think you are the only one who remembers that!

Muppet babies, loved that cartoon!

You outdid yourself this week, Dave, truly awesome. Love baby Ackbar!

It's arguably not worse than Star Wars Babies, but Lucas has already done something just as bad. [imdb.com]

Raise your hand if you shuddered when you followed that link :)

Katie Cook at Katie Can Drawl [typepad.com] draws what looks almost like baby star wars stuff already, so I know she could work on the project (~_^)

It was fun watching you ink this comic (shows how exciting MY Saturday Nights are), but as I noted in chat then, it seems even beyond Lucas' level of weirdness to have Baby Darth and Baby Luke together (although another chatter made the best use ever of the term "baby daddy").

The Star Wars Holiday Special, of which I was just introduced to a few weeks back, in, hands down, the WORST thing I've ever watched in my life. And we watched it with the riftrax commentary (I can't imagine who could get through it without it!). There is really no way to explain to someone who hasn't seen it just how utterly bad it is. I thought of this immediately after reading the comic today, and lo-and-behold someone else has been tortured (and survived) just like I have!

In 1978-81 I was in Germany, staring down the Warsaw Pact across the Fulda Gap. Not a lot of US television made it onto Armed Forces Network except old B&W shows such as "Our Miss Brooks". Never saw this, never even knew it existed. Would love to see it, though, just for the chuckles and groans.

Outstanding Dave...good work! Plus, I truly love the fact that Admiral Akbar is basically ONLY known for his one famous line....

ITS A TRAP!

Classic!

That is HILARIOUS that Muppet Babies already did it, essentially. That cracks me up. (Pretty cute, too!)
