Drive!

It's Saturday, which means it's time for our Saturday Sci-Fi Feature, "Drive". Two things I should mention about Drive:
1.) You can read the full archives of Drive, in order, at the special sub-site
2.) Today's installment may (may) be the last pen-and-ink Drive ever drawn. I've ordered the new Cintiq, and it's apparently winging its way toward me...so who knows! Next week might be an all-digitally-drawn installment of Drive!

I just hope that the Cintiq produces a product as good as pen and ink. You're a heck of a great draughtsman, Dave. Although your styles are different I'd say you are the equal of Karl Kerschl in pen and ink draughtsmanship.

Don't be too quick to promise the all-digital strips till you get a chance to work with it first.
FWIH some people dive right in with a tablet like {ahem} water off a duck's back, but for the Gramps types it'll take a bit of getting used to.

Ever see an anime called Last Exile?
In it, the engineer class controlled the running of the lift engines the non-engineering classes used for their airships.

Well, if Dave spent any time around Scott Kurtz while he's working. He's seen and probably played around with Scott's Cintiq. So he probably has had some hands on. But as you say having and actually working on it are two different things. I suppose it would be like changing between a regular keyboard and a natural the first few times you do it.

what does it mean when a guy asks you to go on a drive with him? does he like you, or doe she want more?
