funny flavored coffee / misreading cartoons

I dislike coffee with "interesting" aroma like various fruits, nuts, chocolate or whatelse. For me it just has to be black and sweet.

So in today's cartoon with Supergrandpa I read in the first picture "time to end your vanillany" instead of villainy and expected grandpa to have similar dislikes like me.

Oh well, that can happen, if English is not your first language. And if you identify yourself with cartoon characters too much. ;)

That is what is referred to as a 'mondegreen'. According to wikipedia:

"American writer Sylvia Wright coined the term in her essay "The Death of Lady Mondegreen... 'When I was a child, my mother used to read aloud to me from Percy's Reliques, and one of my favorite poems began, as I remember':

Ye Highlands and ye Lowlands,
Oh, where hae ye been?
They hae slain the Earl O' Moray,
And Lady Mondegreen.

The actual fourth line is "And laid him on the green"."

I'm the same. I don't even take milk or sugar in my coffee, just black. That ways the best!

If you see me put anything in my coffee out of the house, it isn't very good coffee. At home it is black and nothin' but black. But I buy good coffee.
