Find that man!

Wednesday, February 02, 2011 - 12:30 AM

See the stumpy, egg-shaped Yoplait employee in today's strip? First Sheldon reader to find and link to the Sheldon strip where he's appeared before gets an internet high-five.

It's been yeeeears since I drew that guy, and it'd be fun to see the last time I used 'im. He's got a fun shape.

Link it below, in the comments!

Being a father is about learning to love peach yoghurt, because you no longer ever get first choice when it comes to the variety pack.

ok so im not sure what comic he is from but i thought i would add this bit about the peach yogurt. While eating a package of this type of yogurt from this company, i discovered a bug in the bottom of the package.

now this was a small bug in the way of this type of bug, but one doesnt expect to find a cockroach in the bottom of ones yogurt. so yes your right. yes peach yogurt is evil.

That a funny one, though. Because my 2-year old is just like me: peach yoghurt is his favorite! So I have to buy twice as much peach as the rest of the flavors.

Dave, I think you just have some kind of weird dairy-taste recessive gene. You know, like the one which makes some people say that cilantro tastes like soap? There's nothing wrong with peach yogurt or eggnog, but you despite both.

But hey, that means more for the rest of us, so you go right on ahead and keep despising them. :)

I discovered that people liking or disliking eggnog has mainly to do with where in the country they live.

Because there are parts of the country where the only things available under the name of "eggnog" are absolutely nothing like eggnog, and which no human being could possibly stomach.

Now, of course, in Massachusetts, where I live, eggnog is made by separating several eggs, whipping the whites into a light meringue, beating the yolks into a mix of milk with a bit of cream, sugar, and vanilla, optionally adding rum, brandy, and/or bourbon, and folding the whites back in.

If you make it hot, and layer the whites instead of folding them in, then you have the classic drink Tom and Jerry. (The cartoon was named after the drink.)

Shouldn't there be nutmeg in there?

My husband's favorite flavored coffee is Southern Comfort (non alcoholic) Eggnog coffee. His mother likes the Eggnog Vanilla Spice by the same company. But it's not necessarily a good idea to buy ANY eggnog coffee. Some of it just tastes like butter coffee (and I bought two bags of the stuff...).

To kind of keep it on topic, my kids like peach yogurt. Since I didn't discover the strip until this year, I didn't find any of the eggman's incarnations elsewhere, though I could throw in a Beatles reference if it would make someone happy.

Man, first it was the eggnog, now it's the peach yogurt. I love these things! Where's the vitriol for mayonnaise? Now that's a creamy foodstuff that warrants the hate.
