Arthur shouldn't be kicking the ketchup. Have you read Malcolm Gladwell's article about how perfect ketchup is??? It's in the book "What the Dog Saw" and studies have shown that ketchup is the PERFECT sauce. It hits all five of our tastes, salt/sweet/bitter/sour and umami. Many people have tried to improve upon ketchup and failed. That's why there is only one variety of ketchup but a bunch of different mustard. Check it out! I believe Arthur owes ketchup an apology!

Sorry Aurthur, we're even more pathetic that that - our culture didn't invent ketchup. It was a chinese fish sauce that morphed into what we know. We embraced and extended ketchup.

Also thousand island dressing. You can put that on anything too and it tastes delicious!!! I don't really know where thatoriginates but it is seen as american over here.
