THANK YOU for making a strip about this. I try very hard to keep HFCS away from my toddler, and I've been warning all the parents I know as well. Now I can just send them a strip, which has the added bonus of reminding them about the fabulousness which is Sheldon. :D

I like the attempt to rename prunes to dried plumbs to avoid the old person's image.
Of course, the Kiwi fruit became much more popular under its new name rather than the Chinese gooseberry.

The only issue with "dried plums" is that when you then have "prune juice," it has to be called "dried plum juice." I saw that in the grocery store the other week and could hardly hang onto my cart for laughing.

I don't know, from what I've read I don't see anything terribly wrong with HFCS. Here's one such item:

The industries proposed name change though is certainly not going to do what they want. They want to point out that's it pretty much just sugar, but you can see that isn't happening.
