The Taller Format

As you probably noticed during the "Night Without Coffee" storyline, I've started playing around with a taller, vertically oriented format for the strip.

I'll be honest: I'm really enjoying it. Who's to say whether I'll be using it permanently, going forward, but for now I'm enjoying the change of pace. It allows for a little more stretch in the writing, and a bit more room to play with the art.

The young lady knows how to sell a play, that's for sure. I like the longer format! The extra "stretch in writing", as you put it, creates a little more coherence and less gag-a-day, which is fine with me. Just make sure you don't overburden yourself ;)

The feeling of the strip is much more 'story' than 'gag' and I'm really enjoying this particular arc, she's so alert to her potential audience.
The Night Without Coffee is before me as I write and a beautiful thing it is. Thank-you for making it available.

While the Night W/O Coffee itself didn't do anything for me (it has to do with the source being parodied, not the comic itself), I definitely enjoy the larger strips.

You've mentioned before how much you love the freedom which the web affords you, to be color or grayscale, to be tall, wide, short, diagonal, or any other dang thing which strikes your fancy. If the vertical format works for you, go for it! Do whatever works for the strip for that day. Don't feel obligated to do it all the time, but whenever the strip needs it.

Any format that gives me more of your art is fine with me . . . every panel increases my enjoyment!

while I think that any format bringing in my daily fix of 'Sheldon' is groovy, can I just put it on record that the phrase "going forward" drives me bananas?
