Meta

Let's look at all the ways today's meta Sheldon breaks normal conventions:
- We're seeing backstage, which is weird.
- We're seeing Sheldon with his glasses off, which is also weird.
- We're seeing Flaco talk, which was super weird to draw.
- We're also seeing Arthur get along with Roger...and we *know* them two just ain't never got along. Lookit the quiet contempt on Roger's face.

For those of you wondering, this is indeed the "end" of Season 13 of Sheldon. It's been online 13-14 years, now. (If you're curious, you can read this blog post, explaining how Sheldon is in its 14th year, online.

For those of you concerned that I might be ending the strip...worry not. But! I will have a blog post in the new year about my changing project priorities. As we finish up the film over the next few months, I think I'll be changing things up. But all for the better, I assure you!

My heart definitely skipped for a second there.

If we go way back and count Four Food Groups of the Apocalypse, we can tack a couple more years onto our favorite 10-year-old billionaire.

Still have my signed copy of "A Well-Balanced Meal" (from when I was a wee freshman) and still hoping for the Nate/Dez/Carrie cameo.

You do realize that pointing out this sort of paradox is what will bring about the apocalypse tomorrow, don't you?

Roger's the one with the coffee... and the regrets about his life choices, apparently?

The scary thing is that this strip shows up how much this is like 'Lassie', which had to find new dogs to play the role as time went by. You just keep getting new 'Arthur', 'Sheldon' etc as they grow too old. Must be hard to keep finding new talking ducks to play the role. Even scarier: think how many 'Barts' the Simpsons must've gone through by now to keep him looking his 'age'.

Thanks again for the strip Dave: always a highlight of the day to find it in the 'inbox'.

This is SO AWESOME.

I love meta-stuff like this. You can do these two or three times a year if you like, Dave.

The play within the play, aye, there's the rub, and the game's afoot!

This is absolutely delightful. I wonder how long this conversation has been going on in your head? To only let it out now, well that must have taken some serious creative control.

It reminds me, not a little. of That Mitchell & Web Look. Which is high praise.

I'm anxiously awaiting The Film. I absolutely can't wait. Bravo on all counts, sir, bravo.

Now kindly put the 4th wall back up, and don't do that again. ;-)

I hate you, man! You scared the bejesus out of me! I thought you were finishing Sheldon. No matter what plans you have, or how important they are, don't you dare stop drawing Sheldon!

Great strip by the way ;)
