The SPX Hall

SPX ("Small Press Expo") is a two-day convention of indie and small-press comics publishers and creators. There are about 400 artists in one large hall, which I imagine sees traffic between 1,500 and 3,000 comics-lovers. Unlike San Diego Comic-Con or New York Comic-Con -- which have a large, corporate feel of spandex superheroes and big-budget movies -- SPX has a smaller, more intimate, more conversation-friendly feel.
