PANEL 1: GRAMP, an older man with a grey mustache, walks OSO, a fawn pug, while ARTHUR, a yellow duck, joins them. OSO sniffs the bottom of a tree. GRAMP: When we’re out on our walks, and he starts sniffin’ and piddlin’, I like to imagine it as DOGGY E-MAIL. PANEL 2: Same scene, but OSO lifts his leg to pee on the tree. GRAMP: He sniffs a tree, sees he got a new message, and sends a note back. ARTHUR: ha ha ha CUTE PANEL 3: The tree stands alone as we see GRAMP’s leg exiting the panel as all three characters leave. PANEL 1: ARTHUR, a yellow duck, and SHELDON, a ten-year old boy with large glasses, hang out in a swimming hole. ARTHUR: You know how folks take it as a huge compliments when an artist starts sketching them? SHELDON: Sure! You feel special! Celebrated! PANEL 2: ARTHUR continues, as SHELDON motions during his response. ARTHUR: Yeah! And THAT’S why I wanna see a psychic someday. SHELDON: But you always say psychics are a “marvelously over-filled bucket of horse ploppins.” PANEL 3: Close up on ARTHUR has he floats on top of the water, the cliff-edge of the swimming hole behind him. ARTHUR: Oh they ARE! …But what a compliment to have someone MAKE UP A WHOLE STORY ABOUT YOU on the spot! PANEL 4: SHELDON and ARTHUR stand in the swimmigng hole. ARTHUR: In the romance novel I’m reading, Mary Anne keeps falling for a guy named Rick Músculos. Rick’s a stone-cold hottie, but a real bad boy: won’t play it cool, won’t listen to advice… PANEL 2: GRAMP responds while holding the laundry basket. The background has faded from light blue to a slightly more purple. GRAMP: So why does Mary Anne keep going for him? ARTHUR: How can you NOT?!? The passion is real!
