Object Permanence - Sheldon® Comic Strip

PANEL 1: OSO, a fawn pug, and DIGBY, a brown dashchund, lay on the floor inside, near a window. They turn their heads as they hear a “BARK!” from outside.
OSO: Did you hear that?
DIGBY: Wait. That wasn’t me. And it wasn’t you.

PANEL 2: The two dogs stand in front of the window, mouths open in barks.
OSO: Yet somehow… another dog exists?!? Bark bark bark!
DIGBY: This is beyond shocking! To find we are not alone in this universe?!? Bark bark bark!

Sound effects: BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK!

PANEL4: DIGBY still stands at the window, his front paw up on the window sill. OSO stands facing away, eyes wide in thought.
DIGBY: I find that the real spice of lief is a complete lack of object permanence.
OSO: I look forward to this EXACT CONVERSATION again in five minutes.
