The Hodgepodge Dog Lodge 2 - Sheldon® Comic Strip

COMIC TITLE: “The Hodgepodge Dog Lodge”
Logline: With no humans around, these dogs have to learn a new trick: RUNNING A KENNEL.

PANEL 1: GRAMP, an older bald man with a grey mustache, holds OSO, the fawn pug, at a reception desk at a dog kennel. He holds a piece of paper toward the reception window. Behind the window sits the receptionist in an orange ball cap, worn low on their face, only the mouth showing.
GRAMP: Hello. I’m dropping off my pug, Oso. Here’s the paperwork.
RECEPTIONIST: GOOD BOY.

PANEL 2: GRAMP sets OSO down as he continues talking to the receptionist.
GRAMP: Ha ha ha, yep! He’s a good boy. Do you need anything else from me?
RECEPTIONIST: NO. GO WALKIES.

PANEL 3: As GRAMP exits the building, holding the glass door open, waving as he talks over this shoulder.
GRAMP: Ha ha ha. I’m loving the dog jokes. Ok then! See you in a week!

PANEL 4: From the other side of the receptionist glass, we see a GREAT DANE poke his head over the computer monitor, while a white and brown spotted BULLDOG shakes the orange ballcap off his head. We see the silhouette of GRAMP exiting the building behind them.
GREAT DANE: …did it work?
BULLDOG: I used the only human words i know!
