It tells the tale of a second Spanish Empire: A galactic empire. Spain conquered the globe and a good chunk of the galaxy, using technology from a crashed alien ship. But those aliens want their tech back, and attack with an almost religious fervor.
It kinda-sorta combines the scope of Dune with the goofy fun of Hitchiker’s Guide. I think you’ll like it! Give it a try, here:

DRIVE started as a personal passion-project that I’d do on free nights or weekends. I’d draw it in my free time, and that would be that.
But as the story grew, thousands of folks got super passionate for the strip! And they didn’t want to wait until I had “free time” — they wanted regular updates now!
So I’m gonna use Patreon to change that equation. Patreon will let me dedicate more of my work-week to DRIVE, which means regular updates.

We haven’t seen this breed in the strip for many years: It’s the fabled Himalayan Squishie. World-renowned for being the wrinkliest of the wrinkle dogs.

In my house, Mo Willems’ books hold a special, special place. They are very loved, and read with the goofiest of voices…as all good children’s books should be. So today’s strip is written with all the love and admiration in the world for Mo. This is just a thought that runs through my mind, every time I ask which Pigeon book we should read tonight. 🙂
